Send Somebody a Listing of your Forthcoming Events – Mac Kung Fu, 2nd Edition

Tip 205Send Somebody a Listing of your Forthcoming Events

Ever wanted to send somebody a text listing of the things you’re doing over the coming week/month so they can work out when best to schedule a meeting with you?

It’s easily done. Just open Calendar, switch to week/month view (and navigate to the relevant date, of course), hit Ctrl+A to select all the events, and press Ctrl+C to copy them to the clipboard. You’ll be warned in the case of recurring events that you’re only copying the events that fall in that week/month, but this is fine. Then start a new email, document, or IM conversation and hit Ctrl+V to paste a listing of all the appointments that you viewed within Calendar, neatly sorted by date and time, and with complete descriptions.

You don’t have to select all the events. You can also hold down Command and click some of the events to select them individually, which you can then copy and paste into an email/document/instant message as described earlier.
