|Tip 310||View Another Country’s App Store|
Are you on vacation but still want to purchase items from the App Store? You might find that the App Store you see is the one for the country you’re in rather than for your home country. The solution is to click the small circular flag icon at the bottom right of the App Store home page. On the following screen, you can select which country’s store you’d like to visit.
Beware: you can purchase apps only for the country where your Apple ID is registered. Therefore, it’s not possible for European Mac users to beat the exchange rate and purchase apps for less in the U.S. store (or vice versa, depending on currency fluctuations!). However, this technique means it’s possible for European Mac users to take a look at the U.S. App Store to get information about certain apps that are released in the United States first, before being made available elsewhere.
